At FamRight, we take your family's privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information, with specific attention to the safety of children under 13 (COPPA Compliance).

1. Information We Collect

A. Adult Account Holders (Parents/Guardians)

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Contact Information: Name, email address, and phone number (for authentication).
  • Family Details: Family name and organization preferences.

B. Child Profiles (Added by Parents)

FamRight is designed for use by families. As the parent or legal guardian, you create profiles for your children. We collect:

  • Name: First name (or nickname) to identify the child in the schedule.
  • Profile Details: Birthdate (optional, for age-appropriate settings), gender (optional), and avatar color/image.
  • Activity Data: Tasks assigned, rewards earned, and schedule items.

2. Children's Privacy (COPPA Notice)

We are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

  • Parental Consent: By adding a child profile to your FamRight family account, you — as the verified parent or legal guardian — provide express consent for FamRight to collect and store the limited information described above for the purpose of providing the internal family management service.
  • Direct Notice: This policy serves as your direct notice that we collect personal information (name, internal app activity) from children solely for the internal operation of the service.
  • No Third-Party Sharing: We DO NOT sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your child's personally identifiable information to outside parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
  • Data Rights: As a parent, you can review, edit, or delete your child's profile at any time within the "Manage Family" settings. Deleting a child's profile permanently removes their data from our active systems.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information strictly to:

  • Provide the Service: Managing schedules, tasks, meals, and rewards for your family.
  • Improve the App: Utilizing anonymous, aggregated usage data to fix bugs and enhance performance.
  • Communicate: Sending strictly service-related notifications (e.g., "Task Completed" or "Dinner is Ready").

4. Data Security

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard technologies.

5. Data Deletion

You have the right to delete your account and all associated family data at any time. You can do this by navigating to Settings > Account > Delete Account, or by contacting us at support@famright.com.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
